About HEX Travel

HEX Travel began its journey in 1997 in a small office on the Rokin, a medieval street built in the heart of historic Amsterdam. These days, Tuija Jokisaari, the founder, and her team work in an office on one of the beautiful canals of Amsterdam, the Singel. From a tiny enterprise, HEX Travel has transformed itself into a thriving A-rated company – one that’s still growing and improving.

As one of the founding members of European Quality Agents network (EQA) HEX Travel is connected with professional DMCs around Europe.

Groups & Meetings

The great thing about group travel is that, while you may be arriving at your destination solo, you won’t be alone once you get there.

Group travelling need a lot of caretaking and planning. Many times it’s all in the details. Where do you stay, what restaurant can handle groups, special wishes like allergies needs to be taken care of, or what creative meeting space can we book? How to relax together after a long day of work?  For all this to work well you need local eye on things like choosing the right hotel or keep everything floating on location.

We work with a wide range of hotels, meeting locations and professional suppliers to meet all your needs. For a pair of extra eyes you are welcome to visit the location you have booked!

Incentives

Work hard play hard! After a hard day of work it’s nice to relax with colleagues. For some, action is the best relaxation, like kite-surfing.  For others it can be yoga on the beach or a cooking workshop. Just leave it to us and we will make sure you will get the experience you wished for.

Special Interest

Let’s face the facts. The sea level is rising and Holland is below it.

From the first moment that settlers in this small nation started pumping water to clear land for farms and houses, water has been the central, existential fact of life in the Netherlands, a daily matter of survival and national identity. No place in Europe is under greater threat than this waterlogged country on the edge of the Continent. Much of the nation sits below sea level and is gradually sinking. Now climate change brings the prospect of rising tides and fiercer storms. The Dutch see this as an opportunity.

Come and see and learn how new landscape is being created and how new neighborhoods are being developed on or close to water.  We can show how urban renewal dovetails with strategies to mitigate the effects of climate change.

We organize not only interesting tours for architects and constructing companies, but also any other business area you might work in.
